Who Can Vote?

Anyone who is a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old, and has lived in North Dakota at least 30 days prior to Election Day has the right to vote!

How do I Vote?

There are three ways to vote in North Dakota

  • Absentee/Vote by Mail (Anyone can vote absentee. No Excuse is needed.)

    • In Vote by Mail counties, absentee ballot applications are sent out to all eligible voters.

    • In all other counties, voters may request an absentee ballot application from their county auditor.

  • Early Voting

    • Some communities offer in-person Early Voting opportunities on select days and times.

  • At the polls on Election Day
